The dance of the Flight Attendent

I’m going to be writing about the NYC Comicon that took place last month in just a bit, but one thing I love about attending any type of Con is the enthusiasm for the medium you walk away with. I’ve started checking out more comic and illustrator material. I wanted to share this one for today.

The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Web 2.0: Top 25 Apps to Grow your Business

A pretty cool list of web 2.0 applications for business related needs. I’m not sure why they listed Google calendar instead of Google Apps for Your Domain, as with domains you get customized google email, the ability to build a basic site, and a few other Google apps. Check it out.

I would also note I’m currently trying Wesabe out for my financial planning needs. I’ll try to get a short article up after I’ve done my second month on the app.

Any other killer apps I should be trying out?

Hide Your Women, I’m Back (Again)

I started blogging right near the start of its popularity, early 2002. You can view some of the old material on the Wayback Machine. For awhile I was lucky enough to gain at least a small bit of notice from other bloggers in the design and usability community. As my job changed from designer to IT person, I slowly let the blog die. Every now and again I’d make a half hearted attempt to get things back in order, but I was never really ready I think to put the time and effort required to really get things going again. Odd considering all the positive things maintaining a blog has done from me. From work to new friends, it has been worth it.

Now things are changing in my life, and once again I’ll be spending at least a portion of my work day producing web and print work. I think its finally time to give this another real go.

I think I finally have a few things worth saying, and that my friends is a good thing.

MachForm - PHP HTML Form Builder

A very impressive looking "form script" that is hosted on your site. This looks like a nice cost effective way of adding forms when I don't have the budget/need for ExpressionEngine.

A Small Study Of Big Blogs: Further Findings

Interesting stats on the most common design elements in blogs these days. Nothing too suprising but good to have the data handy.
